Pattern

In order to produce cast iron we need a pattern that can leave an imprint in the sand which can then be filled with iron. A pattern must be 1% greater (due to shrinkage) than the desired casting and has to be made with a draft angle so the sand can be withdrawn from the pattern.

A pattern can be made in any stable material. Depending on the complexity, tolerances and how many castings are to be made, we will help you find the right pattern material.
